MEET NAPOLEON

NAPOLEON W. GLADNEY, of California, has a BFA in dance performance from Chapman University in Southern California where he has received numerous awards and recognitions from the department of dance for performance, outstanding contributions, and choreography. He has diverse training in ballet, jazz, modern, hip-hop, African, and musical theater, which all melds together to form his technical, thoughtful, and evocative movement. With this diverse background he has had the opportunity to perform with various companies and ensembles, including Odyssey Dance Theatre and Backhausdance. In addition he has performed with regional, review, and off Broadway productions, production companies, hip hop dance teams,and at several ACDF Galas and National American College Dance Festivals including New York City and the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. Recently signed with MSA Los Angeles, he is excited about pursuing more opportunities. As a choreographer and teacher, Napoleon has had the opportunity to travel to teach master classes and set choreography on dance companies, teams, and studios. Napoleon recently served as the artistic director and choreographer for his own dance company, theCompanyProject. The company has been honored with the opportunity to be a performance artist in residence for the Lincoln Center Institute’s Teacher Education Program, various industrial events, and recently as a finalist in the Sadler’s Wells Global Dance Contest. The Core Collective is another new project Napoleon is starting with friend Katy Tabb to bridge the gap between emerging and established artists. Napoleon also loves to share his passion for dance through designing clothes for his clothing line GET N2IT DANCE, and writing for the Orange County Arts and Culture magazine as the primary dance writer.

MEET JAMIE

Jaimie Goodwin grew up in Virginia Beach,VA where she trained at Denise Wall's Dance Energy in tap, ballet, contemporary/lyrical, jazz,musical theater, and flamenco. She was part of the competitive company and won numerous titles both regionally and nationally. She has appeared on tv in commercials and as a top ten finaliston SYTYCD. She hit the big screen as a principal dance in High School Musical 3, joined Rasta Thomas' company The Bad Boys of Dance where she performs with them internationally, and recently appeared on the 82nd Academy Awards as a featured dancer with the LXD. She can also be seen teaching and demonstrating at New York City Dance Alliance and various other conventions and studios across the country.

MEET SKYE

Skye Stoury currently is a senior dance major at Chapman University in Orange, California where she choreographs for their student shows and is on Team Shaka the Chapman hip hop team. Before college Skye trained in jazz, contemporary, lyrical,hip hop and ballet at Westlake Dance Center in Seattle, Washington where she grew up. While in Seattle she was on Westlake Performing Group, a pre-professional company directed by Kirsten Cooper. Along with that Skye has danced and performed with hip hop groups such as Potion, Butch Queens and Cruz Control. She has also was a performer in the city of Sammamish “Sami Awards”, Tabitha and Napoleon Dumo’s Dance This piece, the Dance Master’s of America Benefit show, Maxt Out in LA, along with local and school shows. Her choreography has been in Chapman University’s CDA show, Works in Progress and mainstage Spring Dance Concert along with one of Westlake Dance Center’s In House Show. Skye’s main dance style is a mix of her contemporary and hip hop training to create movement that tends to be quirky and sharp all the way to smooth and more technical. After graduating in May, Skye is moving back to Seattle to do an internship with the education outreach program of Seattle Theater Group along with dancing and teaching in that area.

MEET JEREMY

Hailing from San Diego CA, Jeremy Barthel caught the dancing bug by the age of fourteen. Starting his early training under people such as Mario Navarrete and Brandon Henschel Jeremy focused mainly on hip hop, but quickly realized the importance of being well rounded. As a seven year member of Unity he has spent countless hours working with Theo Ivie and Tessandra Chavez refining his technique in San Diego, and continuing his training in several styles after finally making the move to Los Angeles in 2006. While still actively training and auditioning Jeremy now teaches beggining jazz at the Debbie Allen Dance Academy. Some of his credits include artists such as Lady Gaga, Jordin Sparks, Paula Abdul, N.E.R.D, and Miley Cyrus, as well as Mad TV, Dancing With The Stars, Jimmy Kimmel, and the Academy Awards.

MEET MARSHEA

Marshéa Kidd began training in all disciplines of dance at the age of 3. As a young dancer he was featured in “Kid Songs” videos and performed in “Pepito’s Story” under the direction of Debbie Allen. His passion, talent and charisma have earned him over 20 dance titles nationally and internationally. Marshéa most recently toured with “Bad Boys of Dance” in “Rock the Ballet” under the direction of Rasta Thomas in Europe; also in New York’s annual DRA benefit on Fire Island, (choreographed by Broadway Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell). Marshéa has completed two separate Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines tours as a principal dancer. Marshea’s ingenuity and analytical dance skills make him a master at his craft as he continues to challenge himself and his dance students. Marshéa currently teaches at Dance Precisions in Placentia, CA and is the newest generation of young dancers teaching abroad at dance studios across the U.S.

MEET JEREMY

Jeremy Hudson received most of his training in South Carolina. There
after a few short years of training, he competed on the nationally
renown television show "Star Search" as part of a trio. After getting a taste of the industry, at age 17, he followed his dream back to California to pursue a dance career. Jeremy has been a part of feature films: Bedtime Stories, Dance Flick, Bring It On 5, Hannah Montana The Movie, Princess and The Frog, Step Up 3D, and had a featured dance role in the remake of Fame. Television Shows: Glee, Eli Stone, So You Think You Can Dance, American Idol, America's Got Talent, Oprah, Jay Leno, and has danced and choreographed for Dancing With The Stars. He has also been privileged to have worked on commercials, award shows, and music videos and can recently be seen dancing with Lady Gaga on her "Monster Ball Tour".

MEET MARK

Mark Kanemura was born and raised on the beautiful island of Oahu,
Hawaii. He was a finalist on FOX’s hit television show “So You Think
You Can Dance” and will be returning this summer as an “All Star” for
Season 7. Since moving out to LA, he has appeared on “Dancing with the Stars”, “American Idol”, “Ellen”, and various awards shows. He has worked with artists Keri Hilson, Carrie Underwood, Janet Jackson, Beyonce, and most recently with Lady Gaga.

MEET DEVIN

Devin is a junior at the California State University of Fullerton. She
is a dance major working towards a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and a teaching credential. Devin has been dancing for 11 years and trained in various styles such as jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, jazz funk, modern, and ballet. As a teen, she competed on the TV show America's Most Talented Kids and also won the title of Asian American Teen '05. While competing on the award winning dance team Just Plain Dancin', she was won numerous scholarships and awards including Dancer of the Year '08 to compete internationally in Australia. More recently, her audition was featured on the TV show, So You Think You Can Dance and she has qualified to Vegas twice. She can also be seen in a DancePlug TV commercial. Devin is also a member of Boogiezone's Entity Ultra Contemporary Dance Company and Mosaic's Urban Poets. With Urban Poets, her choreography has been featured in shows around the world in Scotland and Singapore. Devin has also choreographed winning routines for high school dance teams, dance competitions, pageants, and various shows in Los Angeles. Her passion and love for dance will continue no matter where it takes her.

MEET MIKE

Dance transcends all mediums of communication and expression and

MEET DONYELLE
Donyelle Denise Jones is a talented and successful dancer, choreographer, director, teacher, singer and actress. Ms. Jones led her crew Artistry in Motion on to MTV’s Americas Best Dance Crew season 4. In 2007, Ms. Jones choreographed and performed in the new spectacular Wayne Brady Show at the Venetian in Las Vegas. During 2006, she received national attention as the Top Female and finalist on the show, “So You Think You Can Dance” season 2. Ms. Jones is currently the only female that has been on both “So You Think You Can Dance” and MTV’s “Americas Best Dance Crew”. She has been featured in musical theatre productions such as Hair, Nutcracker, and many more. Ms. Jones taught and directed the dance program at Palmdale High School for three years. Additionally, she taught at Orange County High School of the Arts. Ms. Jones teaches at Millennium Dance Complex, Debbie Allen Dance Academy, Debbie Reynolds’ Dance Studio, The Edge Performing Arts Center, Gold’s Gym in Hollywood and at various dance conventions in the United States as well as Canada, Australia, and other international countries. Additionally Ms. Jones has been featured in music videos, movies and award shows. Her accolades include working with Missy Elliot, Ester Dean, Shanice Wilson, The Game, Black Peas, and Master P. MEET KAITLYN

A competition dance performer and lifetime student of dance, Kaitlyn graduated from the prestigious UC Irvine Dance Program in 2009 with a double major in Dance and International Studies. During her tenure at UCI, she was a member of Modern dance legend, Donald McKayle’s Etude Ensemble. Since graduation, she has signed with DDO Dance Agency and is currently a member of Entity Ultra-Contemporary Dance Company and LA-based Flirt performance dance company. A “comp kid” since childhood, she won eight consecutive National Solo Dance titles, has danced in various National Bowl Halftime-shows, charity events, community arts performances, and education programs. Currently, Kaitlyn is teaching and choreographing dances for high school competition dance teams; as well as, Individual, Duets, Trios, and studio competition teams within the southwestern United States. Her passion is in performance and you will see her later this summer in her first indie film role as a dancer in “Cheerleader Camp.” Kaitlyn is SO excited to be guest teaching at Boogiezone Contemporary!

MEET MARTHA

Martha Nichols began her training at the age or 3 in Brooklyn, NY. At 9yrs old Martha and her mother relocated to Raleigh, NC where she then began to take dance more seriously. Under the direction of Christy Curtis and her staff, Martha trained in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, and Hip-Hop. When Martha was 13yrs old, Christy started her annual Summer Dance Intensive bringing in choreographers from all over the world. Because of this, Martha was able to train under, Wes Veldink, Mia Michaels, Jason Parson, Lauren Adams, Mandy Moore, Tabitha & Napoleon D’umo, Nick Bass, Danny Tidwell, Tara Foy, Nicole Snelson, Mike Minnery, Gil Stroming, and Danny Wallace. Martha then trained every summer for the next 6 years at this intensive. During this time Martha was also given the opportunity to teach and choreograph. She fell in love instantly and has been doing so ever since.With Christy Curtis by her side, Martha then went on to audition for the second season of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE and made it to the top 5 female contestants. After the show finished airing she then went on a select city US tour with the other TOP 10 dancers. Martha then went back home to NC to film ‘The Marc Pease Experience’ with choreographers Joey Pizzi and Zach Woodlee. Afterwards, she went on to teach and appear at various conventions and competitions throughout the US and Canada.In the summer of ’07 Martha received a call from Cirque Du Soleil and was asked to attend a small workshop with Wade Robson and 19 other dancers. From this workshop Martha was offered a contract and became one of 14 dancers in Cirque Du Soleil’s “Believe” choreographed by Wade Robson. After 2 years with “Believe” Martha moved to LA to continue pursuing her dance career. After just 3 months in LA Martha can be spotted on a few episodes of NICKELODEON’s “Fresh Beat Band” and she has become a member of the Unity LA Dance Ensemble under the direction of Tessandra Chavez. Martha currently assists Tabitha & Napoleon with various projects. In addition to that, Martha still takes class when she can and she teaches all over the country.

MEET HALEY

Dancer and choreographer Haley Kostas was born in Overland Park, Kansas and began dancing at the age of three. Haley trained for many years at her hometown studio, Starstruck Performing Arts Center, before becoming a student at the University of Missouri-Kansas City where she studied ballet and modern through the Conservatory of Music and Dance. Over the next couple of years she danced and choreographed her way through the competition/convention circuit receiving numerous overall awards both as a soloist and choreographer across the Midwest. She then moved on to perform with multiple dance companies including: Seamless Dance Company, a contemporary dance company based in Kansas City, Quixotic Fusion Dance Company, Williams Henry Dance Theatre, Tap Sounds Underground, and The Commonality Dance Company as well as assist along side many of the industry’s top choreographers nation wide. In 2008, Haley moved to Los Angeles, CA to further pursue her career as a professional dancer and choreographer. Since arriving in Los Angeles, Haley has performed on numerous television and award shows including: Entourage, Dogg After Dark, George Lopez at Night, Guy’s Choice Awards, The 7th Annual WeHo Awards, and So You Think You Can Dance - Season 2 as well as the film “Fired Up”, and has performed with musical artists including: Kathy Perry and The Flight of the Concords. She can also be seen dancing on the Nip/Tuck promo - Season 6, Microsoft’s “Most Talented Hottie” and LG “Eve” Phone commercial. Haley is currently a member as a principle dancer for the ACFCLA – The Artist Community for Change L.A. Dance Company, a Ballet/Contemporary Company. Kostas’ experience as a dancer both on and off the stage gives her choreography a fearless and innovative edge making her a favorite with dance studios, companies and workshops both nation and worldwide. Haley just recently returned from New York City where she performed at the Capezio A.C.E Awards’ Choreographers Ball hosted by Dance Teachers Summit and can currently be found teaching at several studios in the Los Angeles such as Dance Studio 84 and The Rage Dance Complex as well as a guest teacher around the world.

MEET CHAD

Chad McCall was born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina and began dancing at the age of 15. Receiving most of his training from the nationally acclaimed Upstate Carolina Dance Center, Chad also traveled with Hollywood Connection working along side the wonderful & talented Brooke Lipton, Zach Woodlee, Chonique Sneed, Lisette Bustamante, Robert Schultz & Katie Miller. After graduating he moved to Los Angeles to begin his dancing career. While living in Los Angeles Chad worked on the feature films as a dancer in "The Marc Pease Experience" with Ben Stiller and Jason Schwartzman, choreographed by Joey Pizzi and Zach Woodlee & "Bolden!" with Anthony Mackie choreographed by Hinton Battle. He was also chosen as a featured dancer in the Bob Sinclar music video for "What A Wonderful World". Outside of that Chad works with the incredible Erica Michelle Sobol and is apart of her company "collidE", dancing in her first LA company show "love&sex" and assisted, worked on and danced in her second show "you.and.mE". Chad also performed in numerous carnivals, taught classes at Debbie Reynolds Dance Studio and is teaching and choreographing all over the United States, recently working with EVOLVE dance intensives.
